Hoot of the Day!

Hello Readers!

So today I decided to drop by Key Power Intl over at 14 Arumugam Rd to check out their sale. From their facebook page, they seemed to offer various brands like 2XU, Ceepo, Pearl Izumi and uvex.

Dropped by around 12 noon. I was expecting a crowd there but it turned out to be pretty dead... Well maybe because its the last few days of sale.

Spent around half an hour looking around the store, which isn't big. Saw some running shoes, energy belts, running caps and energy bars/gels too. Not wanting to waste my trip there, I had to get something. And that something was a helmet.

Well, it wasnt really a NEED I would say... it was more of a want. But then again, my current OEM Catlike Whisper is too huge for my tiny head, so I got a helmet anyway.

They had various models such as the Ultrasonic Race, fp3, fp5, Xenova, Boss Race and a dirt lid helmet. Took me quite awhile to decide which one to get as all of them were going for 60% off. I decided to settle for the Ultrasonic which was $79.90 after the discount. Pretty decent helmet with enough vents and a really nice chin strap.

Here are some pictures of my hoot~ Enjoy!

Chai Tow Kway

Hello Readers!

So these few days I've been having this craving to have Fried Carrot Cake... I don't know what happened to me but I got hooked onto this savoury dish and can't seem to get enough of it. I bought a packet from Mr Teh Tarik a few days back, had it for lunch in school and now I decided to try it out for my self.

The recipe I followed is from this link: Fried Black Carrot Cake Recipe

Measurements were not followed strictly. I referred to the recipe to get a rough idea of the ingredients needed.

So here is the end result of my Chai Tow Kway experiment! Enjoy!

Thai Style Baby Squid

Hello Readers!

Rainy day today so I decided to whip something up at home since there's no way I can go out.

Was googling various recipes for one of my favourite dishes which is the Thai Style Baby Squid. I found and adapted the recipe from here to suit my own taste.

I personally do not follow exact measurements from recipes as I feel that the taste may suit one but not another. Unlike patisserie, recipes like these can be adjusted easily without having to worry about the end product.

So here are some shots of what I made :) Enjoy!

2014 Haro Race LT Pro XL

Hello Readers!

Been pretty happy lately as I've gotten a new bike :D

Its a 2014 Haro Race Lite Pro XL for BMX Racing. I intend to pick up BMX Racing as a more rugged sport compared to Road Racing which I am already involved in. Also, I wanna fully utilise the BMX Track at TBP before it closes somewhere in 2014 :( how sad...

Here's a picture of my bike for all of you to drool at hehehe. Picture was taken earlier today during a training/test drive session at the dirt track.

This should be my last and final bike as there's no more space in the house :P and my mom will kill me if I get another one

Ride safe fellow riders!

USS Trip with Classmates ♥

Hello Readers!

So recently I went out with my classmates to Universal Studios Singapore at Sentosa. I had a blast with them there, screaming our hearts out during the rides such as The Mummy.

Anyway after the trip, we decided to settle down somewhere for dinner. Seah Im Food Court was where we went. Located just beside Harbourfront MRT and Bus Interchange, it can be accessed conveniently by almost anyone.

As for cyclists, you can make a right turn into Seah Im Road as you cycle along Telok Blangah Road. Filter right as soon as you pass by Vivocity to get there easier.

My personal favourite at Seah Im is the food from Thaksin Beef Noodle. They offer various thai dishes such as the Beef Noodles, Phad Thai and Thai Fried Rice. I ordered the Phad Thai that night and added a heap of chilli padi flakes.

As you can see, their portion is pretty big (that's because I asked for more noodles). This plate I ordered costs $5.00 because of the extra noodles. However, if you decide to settle for the normal portion, without beef would be $4.00 and with beef $4.50. Phad Thai really goes well with beef so I strongly urge all of you to buy it with beef.

For the price you are paying, I would consider this pretty good. What more can you ask from hawker food? The level of spiciness is controlled by how much chilli flakes you add. I can't get through a day without eating anything spicy so you can see the heap of chilli flakes on my Phad Thai. The rice noodles have been pre-seasoned before being fried for a better taste. Topped with crushed peanuts and a lime, this flavourful dish will definitely make you come back for more.

Good and affordable meal for those on a budget.
